Thanks to everyone who made it out over the weekend to Sprung, a Comfort & Joy Touch Party. Thank you to our artists and DJs! And thank you to our volunteers, including those who helped AFTER the party was with a breakdown shift and a final storage run.
 
Each event Comfort & Joy strives to create a really magical experience for our queer community. And so WE'D LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK as our volunteer-led team reflects and make plans for future events.

Spring has Sprung, hibernation is done! Cast off the long, lonely wintry gloom. Now's the time to gather and bloom!

Beauty is as diverse as those who choose to create it. Let's bring forth our sunniest selves and create a verdant bouquet of color and joy. Now, we are alive. Now, we are together. Pause and appreciate that miracle.

Life is our transient yet bountiful banquet. The famished season is over. Spring has Sprung! Join us and feast.

MAIN ROOM

Free your soul on the dance floor, as luscious beats leave you restored and replete.

Bask in salacious splendor and sensual vibes, as Chickpea’s decor brings the party alive!

  • 10 pm to 12:30 am: spring forth with fabulous Seattle-originated raver turned sexy, tantalizing SF house DJ Tiny Tim, producer of Funk Factor and HouseSession.
  • 12:30 am: At half past the midnight hour our enchanting hostess Larissa Archer will preside over a spectacular show, featuring the sultry burlesque of Dorian Dietrich, sizzling drag by Beef Cakes, and Miss Gay International Icon 2021, Bionka Simone! Thereafter, pole dancing wonder Aurora will provide waves of ambient sexiness to keep things hot as you dance the night away.
  • 12:45 to 4 am: Lose Control producer and house virtuoso Jason Godfrey will take us home on an ecstatic journey, weaved with disco, funk, soul, hip-hop and R&B tones sure to touch your heart, move your body and bring people together.

QUEERICULUM

10:30 pm - Opening things up in the cuddle space, pump your mojo for an epic night at our Queericulum workshop led by love coach Digger to get you out of your head and into your body with more confidence, connection and pleasure.

LOUNGE ROOM

Relax in the soft sanctuary and visual glory of our newly expanded Cuddle Cave, curated by Eduardo and C&J’s Artistic Collective.
 
Nourish your spirit and new connections with blissful tea service by Carolina Sunshine.
 
Release winter’s stress with soothing, lavish massage by David Evans.
 
Adorn yourself with an array of verdant colors by facepainters Audette Sophia, Nastassia Weit and Jeshka.

DOWNSTAIRS

Descend into a lush underworld of sultry, consensual delights, sowing seeds and fertile flowers, awash in lips and lipstick art galore by Matt Picon.

  • 11 pm to 1:30 am: C&J resident DJ and President J.Maximilian will get you in the mood with a fresh batch of ambient, downtempo, chillwave and vaporwave vibes.
  • 1:30 to 5:30 am: DJ Xander will bring the night to climax with his signature sexy downtempo beats.

If you ever need support, see someone who may or have other concerns at our parties, please find one of our 'vibe-raters' (purple glow collars) or a house manager (pink glow collars). We want everyone to always feel respected, adventurous and safe at our events. Consent makes that possible.

Please communicate and check in before touching. If you aren’t feeling it, a polite ‘no thank you’ is kind. ‘No’ is also a complete sentence. If you receive ‘no’ in any form, please be gracious and respect it. Ultimately, we request that we ask each other for permission rather than forgiveness when it comes to consent.

DJ BIOS

JASON GODFREY

Jason Godfrey is a dance music DJ based out of San Francisco, California. With almost 20 years of experience behind the decks he's developed an uncanny ability to get people moving to the music with his track selection and mixing skill. Raised with musical influences in disco, funk, soul, hip-hop and R&B, he's able to weave these genres into contemporary dance music for a fun, sexy and enthralling experience. With his relentless energy and endless passion he will do whatever it takes to get the dance floor moving.

Jason has performed at venues across the Bay Area including The Great Northern, F8, Public Works, 1015 Folsom, Powerhouse, Club Six, Monarch, The Chapel, Space550, Oasis and many others. Along with all the of the gigs he DJs around the Bay Area Jason also runs his own event, "Lose Control". The party focuses on bringing people together through high-quality, underground dance music. Lose Control is all about letting your inhibitions go on the dance floor, having fun with friends and meeting new people.

TINY TIM

DJ Tiny Tim (Tim Parker) started DJ’ing with a belt-driven pair of NuMark Turntables back in 2003. Being a raver in the 90’s, he was inspired by the styles of DJ Dan, Carl Cox, Donald Glaude, Mike Barrett, and Dave Armstrong. Tim started in the music world of Funky/Jackin’ House and since has discovered additional love for Deep House, Disco and Nu Disco.Tiny Tim started off DJing raves and parties in Seattle, ultimately landing a recurring gig in a local bar. After 5 years, he decided to return home to the Bay Area where he launched his musical journey into the House scene. Currently, Tiny Tim has residencies at a few of the bars in the Local SF Scene including, Powerhouse, The Lone Star Saloon, and The SF Eagle. In addition to producing tracks and making appearances in the Bay Area and Los Angeles music scenes, he also produces online broadcasts of Funk Factor and HouseSession twice a week.Combining 19 years of mixing experience with a few years of music production, DJ Tiny Tim loves to produce and play music that comes from the soul, translates to the decks and is felt on the dance Wloor.Check out projects and mixes at https://djtinytim.parkerpros.com or https://www.soundcloud.com/djtinytp

XANDER

Xander has been a San Francisco-based club promoter and DJ for over a decade, and has started two dance parties. He founded Dancing Ghosts (3rd Fridays at Cat Club SF), SF's Darkwave Dance Party, in 2007, and Boy Division, SF's Queer Wave Dance Party, in 2016. Guest DJ spots have included the Stud, DNA Lounge, the Castro Theater, SF Pride, and UCSF's annual Art for AIDS charity. He was once a record store buyer, acquiring a collection that he loves to share!

Comfort & Joy Resident DJ and Board Member J.Maximilian opens in the basement, back with a fresh batch of Ambient, Downtempo, Chillwave and Vaporwave vibes.
